On the occasion of the 4th HR Lux Trade Fair (March 17, 2022), Chloé Baumann from Pétillances and Eric Scholer from eSST gave a conference on occupational risk assessment.
After having reminded the legal obligations in this matter, they presented some tools of evaluation of the professional risks:
For physical risks, with the Kinney method widely used in Luxembourg. In addition to the classical indicators such as probability of occurrence, frequency of exposure and health effects, an explanation was given on the interest of a 4th criterion on risk control.
For ergonomic hazards, the OSHA assessment method
For chemical risks, an adaptation of the INRS ND2233 method taking into account the Luxembourgish obligations in this matter, in order to be able to evaluate each chemical product from the point of view of health, fire and environment.
An important focus was on the assessment of psychosocial risks, differentiating between qualitative and quantitative approaches, and even the interest of mixing the two.
If you were not able to attend, we will be happy to send you the presentation upon request.
